Privacy policy

Sync Watchdog ("the app") is operated by DrunkApps. This policy describes exactly what the app stores and why. The honest summary: we store the minimum needed to detect sync failures, and none of it is customer data.

What we store

• Aggregate event counters — how many product/inventory webhook events your store produced per hour. Counts only; the webhook payloads are read in memory to update a counter and are never persisted or logged.
• Zero-out detection buckets — event counts and numeric inventory item IDs (no titles or other product data), kept in 5-minute buckets to detect mass zero-out incidents.
• Inventory snapshots — numeric variant IDs and quantities for up to 250 variants, refreshed hourly, kept 6 snapshots deep.
• Scan results — product/variant titles and quantities for items flagged by the store health scan you run from the dashboard.
• Alert records and your alert settings — the alert email address and/or Slack webhook URL you configure.
• A Shopify session token for your store, required to operate.

What we never store

Customer names, emails, addresses, orders, payment data, or any personally identifiable information. The app requests read-only scopes for products, inventory, and locations — it cannot read customers or orders at all.

Data sharing

Alert emails are delivered via Resend (resend.com) — the alert's subject and body contain product titles and quantities only. Slack alerts go to the webhook URL you provide. We do not sell or share data with anyone else.

Retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes every row we hold for your store — sessions, counters, zero-out buckets, snapshots, scans, alerts, and settings — the same hour, automatically. Shopify GDPR redaction requests (shop/redact) trigger the same full purge. Customer data requests return nothing because nothing is stored.
